This is my first blog post for the month of May. I haven’t done any blogging or writing in a while. I had redirected my time and focus to working on building my law career. That took away energy and valuable time from my writing. And then I was swept up by a wave of conflicting emotions that lashed and knocked me about. When I made it to shore, I was weary and drained of motivation; I was in great need of recuperation.
So I took a break. I attained my rest.
And now I am back. Refreshed and motivated.
I have big plans but I will be taking them one step at a time. I have to pace myself and not worry unnecessarily. There is only so much that we can control. If you tend to worry too much – like I do, but I’m working on changing this – remind yourself of this: there is only so much that you can control. Do the best that you can in your circumstances.
If you are feeling overwhelmed and need to take a break, do like I did and take that break. There is no amount of money that can fully compensate you for your mental health. Love yourself and save your sanity. That’s one of my new mottos.
I’m now back on my journey to happiness and will be blogging once to twice per week, Wednesdays and Sundays. This includes articles for Patrice Magazine.
I also have exciting news regarding my first book, which I will share in an upcoming blog post. I’m quite happy about it!
It’s great to be back!
