Limerick Time #2

It’s limerick time again!

So I tried my hand at another one of these whimsical poems. I came up with three versions and I couldn’t decide on which one to post. So I decided to post them all and let you choose the one you like best.

limerick time, poetry

Old Man Ricket

Version
1:

There
was an old man named Ricket

Who
loved to watch sports such as cricket

But
he never could play

His
vision would stray

When
he attempted to bat from his wicket

Version
2:

There
was an old man named Ricket

Who
loved to play sports such as cricket

But
he never could run

And
the heat from the sun

Would
make him pass out at his wicket

Version
3:

There
was an old man named Ricket

Who
wished he could play sports like cricket

But
he never could run

And
it was not very fun

To
be bowled out each time at his wicket

Which do you prefer?
